These were purchased for a home office with existing blinds; if you are looking for heavy blackout drapes, these are not for you: however, if you are looking for some nice medium-weight unlined curtains, these are a good choice. The fabric is heavy without being too heavy, and light-admissive without being too sheer. The construction and quality is better than the price might lead one to believe, especially for USA-manufactured goods; perhaps this is due to the pattern being a print and not a woven pattern, but for most the distinction is not likely to be important. In short, I will likely purchase another set later, for another room.

I took a chance online and ordered 2 of these w/ matching valances and I'm glad I did. They are beautiful to look at. The background is a beige color and the colors on top are darker shades of beige. If your kitchen walls are a plain beige color, these will match well, but if your walls are multi-colored these will clash big time. I'm in the process of getting my kitchen renovated where it will match one of the colors in the curtains. These have a nice texture and are beautifully made. They are definitely not flimsy at all.
